Between cash disbursements, community partners (like doulas, lactation support, financial coaching), and ongoing research and policy outreach, the program supports over 1,300+ mothers and has placed more than $35 million directly into family hands!
The Bridge Project is New York City’s first and one of the nation’s largest guaranteed income programs for low-income mothers and their babies. Since launching in June 2021, The Bridge Project has served mothers across New York City, Rochester and Buffalo—and has recently expanded to serve families in Milwaukee and Connecticut.
