Pear, Lime, Caramel, Vanilla, Cinnamon
The Nariño region of Colombia is well known for dense, towering mountains packed with intensely sweet coffee cherries. The high altitiudes, well over 2000 meters, are the perfect growing conditions for exceptional coffee.
It is in these mountains that Luis Ahumada Manchabajoy and his family have their farm. Luis works with Azahar Coffee, an organization that connects small, microlot producing farmers from around Colombia with roasters such as ourselves.
They diligently work to find the best coffees being grown in Colombia even if it means traveling to some of the most remote parts of the country, such as Luis's farm high in the mountains.
Additionally, they have created a model of trade that is outside the “C market” pricing which brings higher, stable prices to farmers regardless of what the market says because as they say, “good coffee farming should be profitable”.
We believe you will love this coffee as much as we do. Its natural crisp pear & lime notes, complemented by sweet caramel, vanilla and cinnamon undertones make it the perfect cup for enjoying the upcoming spring days.
